Practical Engineering Statistics

  1. This reasonable small book has proven to be useful as a supplimental text for engineers to learn statistics in an engineering setting. I teach a course on statistical design methods and for those engineers needing a refresher the book on “Practical Engineering Statistics” has worked well. It even has a title that appeals to practicing engineers who don’t want too much math.

This is probably not a good text for a college course on applied statistics but it is the best small book I have seen for the working engineer.
